What time does club night start each Friday?
Gates open at 5.30pm with free swim time and warm-up. Marshalling commences at 5.50pm.
How are club evenings run?
Club night begins with a warm-up from 5:30pm to 5:50pm, followed by marshalling. Please ensure your child arrives no later than 5:45pm so they’re ready to start. Racing kicks off promptly at 6:00pm.
We aim to finish the night between 8:00 and 8:30pm, depending on how many swimmers are participating.
Do I need to nominate my child for Club races?
Yes. Each week you would have nominated you child on the Swim Club Connect App in various races. Please ensure this is done before 5pm on Thursday. We rotate the stroke formats each week to give swimmers experience across all four strokes. Races start with the youngest swimmers and progress through to the older age groups.
The full program of events for each Club Night is available on the Swim Club Connect App, where you’ll also nominate your child for their races.
What should my child bring and wear?
For swim nights, girls should wear a one-piece swimsuit, while boys can choose between racer-style briefs or jammers. A swim cap must be worn at all times during events. While not compulsory, goggles are highly recommended to help with comfort and performance in the water. It’s always a good idea to bring an extra towel for each child.
